What digital transformation means for your organisation

Digital transformation is not a technology purchase. It is a change in how work gets done: fewer manual steps, one version of the numbers, faster decisions and services people can use in Arabic and English. Technology makes that possible, but the starting point is the business: its priorities, processes and constraints.

The signs are familiar. Finance closes the month in spreadsheets, customer data is split across systems, approvals wait in email and reports disagree. Each is a process problem first and a technology problem second.

That is why we start from your priorities rather than a product list. Not technology first. Business outcomes first. A programme that starts from the platform tends to automate today’s problems as they are; one that starts from the business decides which problems are worth solving and in what order. We work across the Microsoft platform, so applications, data and AI work as one estate rather than as separate projects.

Digital transformation and the national visions in the region

Each country in the region sets its direction through a national vision. For organisations the effect is practical: e-invoicing requirements, data protection laws, digital government standards and rising expectations of Arabic-first digital services. We don’t speak for these programmes; we help you connect your own priorities to them.

In practice we look at which national requirements apply to you, which deadlines matter and where your current systems help or hold you back. That goes into the roadmap. The visions themselves:

  • Saudi Arabia: Saudi Vision 2030, which SDAIA’s guidance describes as closely linked to digital transformation and a knowledge-based economy.
  • UAE: the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision, launched in November 2022 as a national plan for the coming decade, with a pillar covering government performance and digital infrastructure.
  • Qatar: Qatar National Vision 2030, alongside the Digital Agenda 2030 of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
  • Jordan: the Economic Modernisation Vision, supported by the Jordanian Digital Transformation Strategy and Implementation Plan 2026–2028 of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.
  • Kuwait: Kuwait Vision 2035, the national development plan branded ‘New Kuwait’.
  • Oman: Oman Vision 2040, the country’s development guide for 2021 to 2040.

Digital transformation assessment and gap analysis

A programme is easier to steer when the problem is clear before solutions are chosen. Our assessment establishes where you are, where you need to be and the sequence that gets you there. It combines workshops with your teams and a review of your systems and data. We keep it short and focused so it leads to decisions rather than a report on a shelf. It covers:

  • Business priorities and the processes that matter most to them.
  • Current systems, integrations and the data they hold, including ERP, CRM and reporting.
  • Data maturity and governance: who owns which data and how far it can be trusted.
  • Gaps, risks and quick wins, with a candid view of what to keep, extend or replace.
  • A prioritised roadmap with phases, dependencies and the decisions each phase needs.

Preparing for Saudi Arabia’s Digital Transformation Measurement (Qiyas)

For Saudi government entities, the Digital Government Authority (DGA) runs the Digital Transformation Measurement, known as Qiyas, and announces its results. Preparing for it is the entity’s own work, and it usually starts with an honest view of the systems, processes and records behind its digital services.

Our assessments have no official standing in that process, but the current-state review and gap analysis they produce can support that preparation. Closing the gaps on the Microsoft platform, and planning improvements for the next cycle, usually strengthens the digital services themselves. The DGA runs the measurement; ConsultTik has no role in it and cannot influence its results.

From digital transformation consulting to delivery

One Microsoft relationship across the transformation lifecycle. The team that shapes the roadmap also delivers it, so decisions made in the assessment carry through to the systems your teams use. Depending on your priorities, that includes:

  • ERP and CRM on Dynamics 365: finance, supply chain, HR, projects, sales and customer service.
  • Process automation and low-code apps on Power Platform, including invoice capture and accounts payable automation.
  • Data and reporting with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, plus data science and machine learning models.
  • Copilots and AI agents that work within roles and approvals.
  • Azure cloud foundations, migration, identity and security.
  • E-invoicing set-up in Dynamics 365, including ZATCA requirements in Saudi Arabia.
  • Custom development, IT outsourcing and managed services with 24/7 support.

Adoption, governance and measurable outcomes

A system nobody uses has not transformed anything. We design for adoption from the start: solutions people use every day, supported by training and change management in Arabic and English.

We also keep the programme accountable. Each phase has an owner, a clear commercial scope and outcomes agreed up front, so progress is measured against the business case rather than a project plan alone. We take ownership, act with urgency and stay accountable for turning priorities into measurable business outcomes.

Phases are sized to deliver something usable on their own. Value keeps arriving while the programme continues and you get clear points at which to change course.

Digital transformation for small and mid-sized companies

Transformation is not only for large enterprises. The approach is the same at any size: start from the business priorities. For small and mid-sized companies the first scope is usually smaller and more focused, so results arrive sooner and the next step is easier to justify.

Typical first steps include moving finance and operations onto Dynamics 365 Business Central, automating approvals and routine tasks with Power Automate or giving managers one set of Power BI reports in Arabic and English.

We keep that first phase deliberately narrow, with a clear owner and an agreed result. Later phases extend the same platform rather than starting again. Training and support continue in Arabic and English, so a small team is not left to run new systems on its own.

10 — FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does a digital transformation consultancy do?

It helps you decide what to change, in what order and on which platforms, then makes sure the change is delivered and used. At ConsultTik that covers advice and roadmaps, solution design, implementation on the Microsoft platform, adoption and training, then running the systems after go-live.

Where should we start?

With the business priorities, not the technology. In practice that usually means one or two processes where delays, errors or manual work cost the most, with data you can trust and a clear owner. Early, visible results make the next phase easier to fund.

How much does digital transformation cost?

It depends on scope. The main drivers are the number of processes and systems involved, data quality, integrations, licensing, the degree of customisation and how much change management is needed. We agree scope and cost phase by phase, so each investment is tied to a defined outcome.

How long does a digital transformation programme take?

Most programmes run in phases rather than as one long project. The length of each phase depends on its scope, your teams’ availability and the systems involved. We plan phases that deliver usable results on their own, so value arrives before the whole programme is finished.

Can you help us prepare for Qiyas, Saudi Arabia’s Digital Transformation Measurement?

Our assessments can support your own preparation: a review of your systems and processes, a gap analysis and a plan to close the gaps on the Microsoft platform. The DGA runs the measurement and announces its results; we have no official role in it and cannot influence its results.

Do you only work with Microsoft technology?

Our solutions are built mainly on the Microsoft platform: Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Copilot Studio and Azure. We also design and build business solutions on Anthropic’s Claude models, through Microsoft Foundry, Copilot Studio or Anthropic’s own platform, where they suit the work. Most organisations also run other systems, so integration is part of every programme.

Do you deliver digital transformation programmes in Arabic?

Yes. Roadmap workshops, training and change management run in Arabic and English, and we design reports, forms and approval steps for people who work in either language, or in both.
